We are looking to add a skilled Carpenter to the crew that can start immediately.
The right person will have experience in interior finishing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a busy environment. Experience with framing, forming, and architectural builds is a plus. This is a great opportunity to grow with a company that values quality work. We expect you will bring the following to the job.
Experience & Certification
Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience
Experience in a supervisory role is an asset
Red Seal certification is a bonus
core skills
Proficient in reading and building from plans
Strong knowledge of building architectural foundations and wall structures
Skilled in framing, structural framing, and backfilling
Competent in installing building elevations, metalwork, and cladding to a high standard
Experienced in finishing carpentry, including hanging doors, installing panels, trims, timber ceilings, and hardware at a high level of expectation
Technical Knowledge
Understanding of technical specifications, including blueprints, drawings, and spec sheets, etc.
Up-to-date knowledge of building science and building codes in the Lower Mainland
Communication & Professionalism
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive demeanor while working
Dependable, able to work independently, and un supervised
Willingness to learn from others and an openness to training juniors in carpentry skills
Strong work ethic, reliable and natural attention to detail
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Greater Vancouver
Compensation
$30 - $40/hour based on skill level and experience, the final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience
2 weeks vacation per year
